Clay Lanterns

Over 10 weeks, Year 9 students at School 21 explored their heritage and personal histories, transforming childhood memories and favorite places into clay architectural lanterns. The finished lanterns were lit in a celebratory display, showcasing the students’ diverse cultures and stories. The project connects to School 21’s “Head, Heart, and Hand” curriculum, combining hands-on creativity, problem-solving, and storytelling, and giving students the chance to produce meaningful work with value beyond the classroom.
