Paper Straw Engineering @ Bow Arts

As part of Bow Arts’ Swanlea Art Week, this Year 8 workshop introduced students to the basics of engineering and structural design through a series of hands-on paper straw building challenges. Students worked collaboratively to design and construct tall, sturdy, and weight-bearing structures, learning principles of stability, balance, and teamwork through play-based experimentation. The session was energetic, engaging, and a highlight of the week, encouraging creative problem-solving and engineering curiosity.
