Weaving with Discarded Textiles

Delivered through Bow Arts, this Year 2 workshop invited students to create tapestries from discarded garments donated by parents. Inspired by Grayson Perry’s storytelling through textiles, pupils cut, twisted, and wove the fabrics into vibrant collaborative artworks, exploring reuse, sustainability, and the personal stories our clothes carry. The project encouraged creativity, fine motor skills, and confidence, while connecting pupils to contemporary approaches to textile art.
