Waste to Tapestry x Grayson Perry

A Year 3 art workshop inspired by Grayson Perry’s colourful woven tapestries at Pitzhanger Manor, reimagined through a lens of sustainability and recycling. Students learned simple weaving techniques using cut-up plastic bags, transforming everyday waste materials into vibrant, textured artworks. The workshop encouraged creativity, environmental awareness, and hands-on making while celebrating Perry’s bold use of colour and storytelling through textiles.
